Description
Indian Cave State Park
2014 was one of the most beautiful falls I have experienced! Indian Cave State Park was especially beautiful!
With 3,052 rugged acres bordering the mighty Missouri River, Indian Cave is a pristine area, devoted to camping, hiking and backpacking, picnicking, nature and wilderness activities. Located 10 miles south of Brownville and 5 miles east on S 64E, Indian Cave boasts a variety of hardwood trees, shrubs and other flora. There are 22 miles of hiking trails in the park.
Autumn is particularly spectacular here. Horseback trail rides are also available in season. History buffs will enjoy the restored schoolhouse and general store from the old river town of St. Deroin, where old-time crafts are demonstrated on weekends during the summer. A group picnic shelter may be reserved. A ramp offers river access for boaters or you can put in at nearby Brownville SRA.

Gorgeous fall landscape, Elizabeth! Wish I could see that where I live, but we don't get such a dramatic change! l/f

Elizabeth, I'm enjoying the breathtaking scenery in your Nebraska Gallery. I've passed through Nebraska many times on I-80, who knew this state offers such splendid beauty, or perhaps it's your artistic ability making these scenics so appealing… L&F
