Description
It was so cold this early October morning. I walked around for a while and decided to leave. Just as I was getting in the car, this osprey flew overhead and landed in a tree close by. I was so cold watching him, it was hard to focus my camera.
The Osprey, sometimes known as the sea hawk, fish eagle, or fish hawk, is a diurnal, fish-eating bird of prey. It is a large raptor, reaching more than 60 cm in length and 180 cm across the wings

Wonderful capture, Elizabeth. We don't get many shorebirds or "fish hawks" here in Atlanta. So I enjoy looking through your amazing work! l/f

Beautiful! There was an article. In NY about an osprey family that made their nest I'm front of a freeway camera. They removed the nest 3 times until the 4th time, NY decided to build a nesting box for the pair away, but in view if the camera ! The little family did not interfere with the freeway camera, but all were able to watch the growth of the little family! VF
